Amidst the dizzying array of autonomous drones and high-definition screens at CES Las Vegas, a quieter but more intimate shift is taking place in the bathroom. Wiser Living, led by CEO Daniel Park, is presenting a vision where the daily shower is no longer a chore, but a multi-sensory medical intervention. Their headline product, the U-Mine Body Jet, is being billed as the world's first smart steam spa system to integrate three traditionally separate wellness elements into a single at-home unit.

The Trinity of Wellness: Steam, Light, and Ions
The U-Mine Body Jet is a "luxury spa system" designed for the home, yet it is also finding traction in gymnasiums and boutique wellness shops. Its core innovation lies in the simultaneous application of three technologies:
- Steam Sauna: Providing high-humidity heat that opens pores and clears respiratory pathways.
- Red Light Therapy (LED): Targeted wavelengths (typically 630–660 nm) that penetrate the dermis to stimulate collagen, reduce inflammation, and accelerate muscle recovery.
- Negative Ion Generation: Designed to purify the surrounding air and promote a sense of psychological "detox."
During an interview at the Wiser Living booth, Daniel Park emphasized the machine's ability to be customized to the individual's physiological needs through 70 different onboard programs.
"It comes with a 70 different program, which is very mild to the kind of aggressive, or which is detox," Park explained. "You know, to be treated your body and mind."
Solving the "Stuffy" Sauna Problem
A common criticism of traditional steam rooms is the discomfort of breathing hot, humid air for extended periods. Wiser Living has addressed this through a specialized design that allows the user's head to remain outside the primary heat chamber.
"Usually, sting [steam] sound [sauna] your whole, you have to go into the room," Park noted. "But this one, you can expose your head outside, which you have fresh air by your body is getting the summer [thermal heat]. So that is one of the benefits."
This ergonomic shift allows for longer sessions (typically 10 to 20 minutes) without the lightheadedness often associated with full-room saunas, making the therapeutic benefits of red light and steam accessible to those with heat sensitivity.
A Positively Critical Look at "Self-Cleaning" Tech
In a "positively critical" look at the hardware, the most impressive feature isn't just the therapy—it's the maintenance. At-home steam systems are notoriously difficult to keep sanitary, often becoming breeding grounds for mold. Wiser Living claims to have solved this with a high-efficiency self-cleaning protocol.
"That often has almost 90% self-cleaning system, which is the vacuum of water," Park said. "And negative iron is in fact everything. So which is convenient to use anything."
While the 90% threshold is a strong marketing claim, the integration of negative ions as a disinfectant agent is a clever use of the product's existing tech stack. However, users should remain aware that no "self-cleaning" system entirely replaces manual descaling, especially in regions with hard water.
Market Positioning and 2027
Wiser Living is positioning the U-Mine Body Jet not just as a luxury item, but as a "partner in healthy living" for a demographic ranging from athletes to seniors. As a global representative for innovative manufacturers, the company is using CES 2026 as a launchpad for broader US distribution.
When asked about the roadmap for 2027, Park hinted at even deeper integration between their hardware and the digital health ecosystem. As more competitors like Ceragem and Kohler move into the "smart bathroom" space with AI-powered mirrors and toilets, Wiser Living's challenge will be to ensure their multi-tech spa remains the center of the user's recovery routine.
For now, the U-Mine Body Jet represents a sophisticated, if singular, achievement: the realization that the most effective way to treat the body is to combine the best of ancient thermal therapy with modern cellular science.
